Lila Real Estate opens Block Island office

Narragansett, R.I. --Lila Delman Real Estate has opened a satellite office on Block Island, and is the first real-estate office in New Shoreham that will have all its island listings on the Statewide Multiple Listing Service, according to principal broker John Hodnett.

Hodnett said the Block Island office will be open year-round. It is located at the Victorian Figurehead Building on Water Street, near the Block Island ferry, and it will be managed by sales associates Kaylan McAleer and Don Huggins, Huggins is a native of Block Island and McAleer has spent 15 summers on the island.

"We think there are a lot of people who want Block Island, but don't know it yet," Hodnett said.

Lila Delman Real Estate has its main office in Narragansett, at 41 Ocean Road, and also has offices in Newport, Jamestown and Watch Hill.
