Liz was born and raised in New York City, but her connections to Rhode Island run deep, extending back into the 18th century when her family first came to Newport and settled on The Point. Childhood summers spent in Newport reinforced that sense of belonging, and helped instill in her a life-long fascination with old buildings, both historic and non. Liz attended the University of Rhode Island, where she majored in english lit and art/architectural history - with a special emphasis on early New England architecture - and has for the past 30 years made her home in Newport.
Prior to entering real estate, Liz managed the events department of the New York Yacht Club, a position she held for nearly 20 years. During her tenure there, she planned, organized, and oversaw every aspect of thousands of special events, from weddings to corporate retreats to international regattas. Today Liz applies the same talents that served her so well in that previous endeavor to her real estate career, where her gifts for patience, perserverence and attention to detail are utilized daily. On a personal level, Liz is a passionate believer in animal rights causes and is involved in several local animal protection organizations, Pawswatch and the Robert Potter League for Animals. She is a member of the Newport County Board of Realtors, the Newport Historical Society, the Preservation Society of Newport County, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Newport Art Museum and the Redwood Library. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, travel and jewelry design.
