The Providence Sunday Journal, November 5, 2006 Press Release
President Melanie Delman and Robin Nicholson, of Lila Delman Inc., an affiliate of Christie's Great Estates, recently joined other specialists in luxury real estate from around the world in Beverly Hills, California, for a forum on the marketing and sale of high-value properties.
Melanie Delman predicts, "The combination of the current pervasive negative real estate commentary in the media and a strong stock market are the seeds of a strengthening real estate market. Financially strong buyers are starting to realize an opportunity exists in purchasing real estate for personal enjoyment as well as solid long-term investment. Many of our luxury partners are seeing the same uptick in interest from savvy buyers as we are. In Newport alone, we have recently placed sold signs on prestigious Bellevue Avenue estates, including Chateau Nooga and Berkeley House."
Lila Delman Inc. has offices in Narragansett, Watch Hill, Jamestown and Newport.
The conference included representatives from 10 countries, including New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Spain and Panama.
The Christie's Great Estates network comprises 20,000 sales associates in 650 offices in more than 25 countries. The network's combined sales are an estimated $75 billion. It is the only luxury real estate firm that is wholly owned by an art auction house.
